The Fall of Ald'ruhn by WilliamWeird The Fall of Ald'ruhn by WilliamWeird
"The armies of Oblivion destroy Ald’ruhn, ancestral home of House Redoran, even though ancient rituals were used to awaken the dread emperor crab and the whole city literally rose up to fight the invaders. With their warrior House decimated, the dunmer of Vvardenfell fall back as daedra move towards a siege of Ghost Gate. Prayers to Vivec and the Nerevarine go unanswered."
-MK

for those not familiar with this, I created it about mid-February. It was in tribute to the storyline revolving around The Elder Scrolls, and I had tried my best to make it parallel with the original image.. [link] .. also drawn by Mike, the mother-brain behind Morrowind's design.

Hearing about Morrowind during the Oblivion Crisis always makes me sad. :( Still, awesome work.

Love the work. I'm a volunteer working on a fan based port of the Morrowind game into the newer Skyrim game engine. We are creating fan-based art loading screens for the game and would like your permission to include this piece of art work and any others that are Morrowind related. Its a free game made by Elder Scrolls enthusiasts. For details you can check out our website morroblivion.com

Addendum - didn't occur to me before, but it's possible no one recalls this was a composition based on MK's sketch. Make sure to add that, he's still very prominent in the community.

Morrowblivion, love the work that's come out of there :D

By all means, help yourself to the Morrowind bits here - If I had any spare time, I would clean them up for screen readiness. This and some others have been used for mods here or there in the Second Age, some time ago.
just tag me as Lutemoth wherever you keep names.

Wouldn't it be appropriate to tell them that this is also derivative of MK's work?

Truth, MK doodled this composition fervently in a meeting with a ball-point pen. Thankfully, the imageshack link in the description is still working (after all these years, yeesh.. I should consider updating to a more secure url). I figure Maruhk's hand in this has inherently been a given known for, like half a decade, but perhaps I'm too familiar with the image itself. Just ask the sleeve-eater PSJJJ from T0, they might be pretty much the last undying ones to remember it.

Well I am well aware of it but they might not be. Just in case they didn't read the description like some are wont to do. It also would probably add a lot of 'oomph' to the picture knowing that it is from MK. Not to take anything away from what you did of course(which is great, fave'd it like a year ago or so).

Just felt like they should be made aware is all. I didn't know MK doodled it in a meeting though. Guy has talent.

again, true. Hopefully the requester checks back - their forum shows nothing on loading screen development, as it must be on a mod-access only page
